Business
Leadership Network (BLN): The BLN is a national program led
by employers in concert with state Governor's Committees and/or
other community agencies that engages the leadership and participation
of companies throughout the United States to hire qualified job
candidates with disabilities.
Cultural
Diversity Network: In order to address the employment issues
facing minorities with disabilities, ODEP has been working with
various minority organizations, including the NAACP, the National
Urban League, and ASPIRA, who have formed partnerships with ODEP
and made commitments to establish new High School/High Tech programs
serving minority youth with disabilities.
Disabled Veterans Employment Forums: The Office of Disability
Employment Policy, in cooperation with organizations representing
disabled Veterans, conducts regional forums to review employment
issues facing veterans with disabilities in specific geographic
areas.
Employer
Assistance & Recruiting Network (EARN): EARN a national
toll-free telephone and electronic information referral service,
became available to the public March 2001, and is designed to assist
employers in locating and recruiting qualified workers with disabilities.
High
School/High Tech Program: This program provides opportunity
for students with disabilities to explore exciting careers in science,
mathematics, and technology.
National
Center on Workforce Disability for Adults: The NCWD-A offers
technical assistance on how to deliver workforce development services
and other employment-related services to adults with disabilities.
The Center's services are available via telephone and Web site.
Workforce Recruitment Program: The Workforce Recruitment Program
for College Students with Disabilities (WRP) is a resource for businesses
nationwide to identify qualified temporary and permanent employees
from a variety of fields. Applicants are highly motivated postsecondary
students and recent graduates eager to prove their abilities in
the workforce.
Youth
Leadership Forums: The goal of this project is to assist states
in developing youth leadership training for high school students
with disabilities.
