The Fall 2009 National ADA Conference is to be held in Del Mar (suburb of San Diego), California - October 19-23, 2009. The first four days, October 19-22 of the conference are devoted only to ADA issues in four ADA tracks – Accessibility, Employment, Higher Education, and Transportation/Transit. See details on program agenda, faculty, and registration. The Department of Justice (DOJ) and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) will be presenting the latest on the ADAAA, Civil Rights Enforcement, and Accessibility considerations in six general sessions.
In addition, there will be workshops on the most requested topics by participants: Law Enforcement, which looks at federal, state and local ADA issues; Medical Issues including workers' compensation/ADA interfaces and working with persons with mental disabilities; and, Important Tips and Guidelines for ADA Coordinators from senior representatives from the EEOC, DOJ, and DOE, and ADA Coordinators who are or have been in the position for many years.
