An individual with need modifications to the workspace to make it accessible. It is important to make sure materials and equipment are within reach and that the workstation is close to other work areas, office equipment, and break rooms. Things to consider include:

Providing an accessible route of travel to other work areas used by the employee;

Modifying the workstation to make it accessible with items such as ergonomic chairs, articulating keyboard trays, mousing surfaces, foot rests, forearm supports, headsets, and slant boards; and

Using an accessible workstation to alternate from a sitting to a standing position is necessary.
