Amber is a Program Assistant II with the Job Accommodation Network (JAN), a free consulting service funded by the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment Policy. Amber has a B.A. in psychology and a minor in communications from West Virginia University. She worked as a Case Manager for the psychiatrically disabled at United Summit Center for six years before becoming part of the JAN team in April of 2008.
As a member of the staff, Amber answers incoming calls and routes them to the appropriate consultant. Other job duties include distributing emails, preparing outgoing mail, receiving incoming packages, assisting consultants in preparation for presentations, and updating JAN's organization database. Amber proudly provides dedicated support to JAN's Cognitive / Neurological Team.
