Lou currently
serves as the Coordinator of Strategic Partnerships for the Job Accommodation
Network (JAN). Prior to holding this position, Lou served as the Assistant
Manager of Project RSVP, a Social Security Administration funded return-to-work
demonstration project. Lou is also a former JAN consultant who provided
personalized consultation on the cognitive team.
Before joining JAN, Lou worked as a quality assurance and strategic
planning consultant. Lou has also served as Executive Director of
Life Management Consultants (LMC), an agency in Pennsylvania that
provides employment and residential services for people with disabilities.
LMC employed more than 80 staff members.
In addition to initiating and deepening partnerships, Lou also facilitates
the strategic planning process for JAN and works closely with JAN's
marketing staff. On the initiation of the Colombian government, Lou
recently presented the JAN model to employers, rehabilitation professionals,
and government officials in Bogotá. Colombia is one of a number
of governments interested in replicating the JAN model.
Lou graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with dual Master's
degrees in Public and International Affairs and Social Work. Lou also
earned a certificate in managing public and non-profit organizations
as well as a specialization in economic development administration.
He holds an undergraduate degree in Human Resource Management.
