The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) turns 16 this year! How has the law changed since its enactment in 1990? The presenters will provide an overview of accommodation trends and legal developments related to Title I of the ADA. A review of policy milestones will provide insight into effective employment strategies in the private and public sectors. Legal cases and accommodation inquiries since the ADA’s enactment will be highlighted.

This session will enable participants to understand trends and legal developments related to Title I of the ADA. A review of policy milestones will provide insight into effective employment strategies in the private and public sectors. The training will also cover the ADA definition of disability, EEOC guidance, developments resulting from court cases, and successful strategies used by employers to implement sound ADA policy.
