It is a good idea to test your system's software,
audio/video and Internet connectivity ahead of time before the
web cast starts. A computer with a web browser and Adobe Flash
Player (formerly Macromedia), and an Internet connection is required
to participate in the web cast. Speakers for sound are generally
needed.
Click on the following link to test your computer.
If your computer passes all 4 tests, it is ready for the Webcast. >> Meeting
Connection Diagnostic
During this test, if you are missing the Adobe Flash
player, you will get instructions on how to download and install
the player to your browser. This process should be automatic.
If for some reason you cannot get the Flash player to install
to your computer, first check the system
requirements page on Adobe's Website to make sure your computer
is compatible with Adobe Flash. If your computer meets the requirements,
please go to our manual download
page to manually download and install the Flash player to
your computer.
To test your picture and sound, please click on
the following slide show: >> JAN

If you do not hear any sound, please check to make
sure your speakers are plugged in and turned on, and that the
volume control settings on both the speakers and your computer
are adjusted appropriately.
If you still require assistance, please contact
JAN at training@jan.wvu.edu or 800-526-7234 option 5 (877-781-9403 for TTY). Please check
your computer at your earliest convenience, as once the Webcast
has started we may no longer be able to assist you.
Registrations are for a single computer, not a person. Any number of people may participate at that computer through the single Web link provided by the registration. However, one registration fee allows you one login, which includes the e-mail with which you register and a password given three to five business days prior to the scheduled event.
